High School Scholarship
The Fillmore Soil and Water Conservation District sponsors a $500.00 scholarship for a graduating Fillmore County high school student pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture or related field.
Applications must include an essay, in 500 words or less, on "What Natural Resource Conservation Means to me". This year's deadline is 4:00 p.m., March 25, 2022. Send to our office address to arrive by that time or email a pdf(or 2) to mindy.williamson@fillmoreswcd.org.
Graduating High School Senior Scholarship Application
Congratulations to our 2022 Graduating High School Senior Scholarship recipient, Morgan Pickett. Morgan is the daughter of
Colin & Jen Pickett of Preston. Morgan plans to
attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to
major in Nutrition and minor in Ag Education. She edged out some
strong competition with her combination of
academic, and athletic accomplishments, leadership,
and extra-curricular activities. We wish her well and
are glad we could help her pursue her future goals.

Returning College Student Scholarship
The District also offers a $500.00 scholarship for Fillmore County college students who will be returning to school in the fall. To be eligible, students must be a returning college sophomore, junior or senior, pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture, or a related field, be enrolled in classes for fall and not a prior SWCD scholarship recipient. Check awarded upon receipt of fall transcripts showing successful completion of courses.

2022 Returning College Student Scholarship Application
2019 Returning College Student Scholarship awarded to Tyler Raaen, of Preston, currently attending Northeast Iowa Community College. Tyler is majoring in Agricultural Business and minoring in Agronomy. Congratulations, Tyler!
